Clemens Teufel, piano

Born in Germany, Clemens Teufel studied at the University of Music "Franz List" in Weimar. Clemens performs and provides masterclasses across the globe. He has performed in venues including Lincoln Center, Newport Music Festival, Rockport Music, Longy's School of Music Pickman concert hall, Cité des arts in Paris, Summit Music Festival in New York, and the Beijing Conservatory among many others.

Originally from Ukraine, violist Alexander Vavilov has established himself as an active and versatile voice in the Boston area and beyond. Alexander performs regularly with such groups as the Grammy Award winning Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Odyssey Opera, Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and Portland Symphony Orchestra.

Valeriia Vovk, Piano and Voice

Valeriia Vovk is a producer, arranger, composer, singer, and activist from Ukraine. She comes from Odesa, a city on the shore of the Black Sea located in the south of the country. Valeriia writes and produces music in a variety of genres including jazz, pop, r&b, EDM, indie, folk, and musical theater.

Olga Abakumova, Voice

Born Chernihiv, Ukraine, Olga is a laureate of international competitions for opera singers. She is a soloist at  Khmelnytskyi Regional Philharmonic and a guest soloist at Lviv National Opera in Ukraine. In 2021, Olga received the Ukrainian Parliamentary award "For distinguished contributions to the people of Ukraine.”

Nationally recognized for its musical quality, innovative programming, and unique model of community engagement, Longwood Symphony Orchestra's musicians are primarily healthcare professionals from Boston's leading hospitals and universities, including doctors, medical students, research scientists, nurses, therapists, and caregivers--many of whom pursued music studies before turning to medicine. The Longwood Symphony Chamber Players perform in small ensembles throughout the community, including in hospital wards, rehabilitation centers, palliative hospices, and other healthcare facilities.
